I think Samsung are widely regarded as market leaders in TV s, however until recently I hadn t have the used one of the LCD TFT Monitors. I have often thought that the TV sets are very aesthetically pleasing and the LCD monitors are no different. Now to some of the nitty gritty - I use this monitor on a daily basis to monitor to check over servers in the office. The picture quality is excellent and I have tested streaming video on this monitor which is also excellent. out of the box is the design, it looks simply stunning, no straight lines, everything is just so smooth, and certainly means that your computer is no longer that monstrosity in the corner. Also the picture quality is amazing, the colours are bright and stunning; however there is a slight issue in the resolution being at maximum 1280x1024, this means that some of the latest games cannot be played in quite as much detail as I would have liked. The Samsung Syncmaster 940MW is a great multifunction monitor with multiple inputs, a built in TV tuner. The screen is also HD ready supporting up to 1080i through component and VGA. Unboxing: The box was rather big and had a handy carry handle to help you easily transport this monitor anywhere. Inside the box you get, the monitor itself (in plenty of packaging to prevent damage), the monitor base, the remote control which comes with 2 AAA batteries, an Audio cable, a VGA cable (I was slightly disappointed that they didn t include a DVI cable as you will want one of these for best possible picture quality.)
