Clear and easy on the eye, great for viewing.

This TV is great if you want a HD television, though only have a limited amount of space to keep it in, perhaps in the bedroom. It boasts great picture, even when not using for HD, the picture is really very clear. It is great for people who do not know much about televisions (like me) as I found it easy enough to set up, nothing really to have to have much electronical knowledge to do. The only problem that I found with mine was that the powercable kept coming out and was difficult to keep in, though as far as I'm aware this isnt a general problem, and is due to a fault with my powercable. The TV looks very modern, and would blend in with any style of decor. It is very easy to work, flicking from the DVD player to the sky box is easy, done with just a flick of a button. The only problem I would say that the TV had was that it only has one scart lead socket, though this is not a major problem. I am aware that it can also be used as a monitor, though I have not explored this myself.

      Good cheap monitor for games.

I've had a small resolution for a long time and I wanted some bigger without having to spend a lot of money. After a week of research I decided to buy this monitor and I'm glad I did. It is very good for me. I bought it for games, but now as I don't play it is still very useful for me.

Despite the fact it is was of the cheapest monitores, my eyes don't hurt. The setup was easy and I started using it within two hours from buying. After having 1280x1024 for 5 years after I looked at it the first time it was so amazing! The games were much more enjoyable with it and the quality of the pictures/video is very good.

One bag thing I didn't really like (but it's OK) is the touch screen setup on the corner of monitor. It's quite difficult to use sometimes, but it's not a big deal.

All in all, I don't regret about buying it, very good cheap, pretty big monitor. This monitor, in my opinion, is one of the best choices for an economical gamer and not only gamer.

      Great value, great quality.

I set out looking for a small, neat TV to use with my XBOX and maybe watch a few shows on. However, this TV from Samsung is far more than that, and my uses for it grow by the day. I was laready convinced that I needed (mostly wanted, lets be honest) a full 1080p TV - after all, if I was going to spend a load of money, a little more wouldn't hurt! But, with this wish in mind, I struggled to find much under 30" - far too big and expensive for student accomodation! Then I found this model: one of the few small 1080p TVs.

As expected, the picture quality is top notch (well it is full HD) and the intergrated freeview tuner means I can basically watch what I want without any extra clutter. The stand out feature of this TV, especially when size is considered, is the speakers. They are probably of a better quality than my 5.1 speakers I got about 5 years ago. The connectivity is also amazing - I only wanted it to watch TV and play xbox, but I now use it as a computer moniter, set of speakers and for my (albeit defunct) DVI hd-dvd player.

In summary, the best samll tv on the market, and great value to boot!

Looking for a DVB TV and monitor? This is an excellent, though pricey, choice

I've been looking for a while for a multipurpose monitor that could be used with my computers and to watch the occasional program on TV. My apartment is not big and wasn't willing to pay a lot for a gigantic plasma screen but at the same time I new that the days of my CRT monitors were numbered. Finally after a lot of browsing I found the perfect solution. The Samsung P2270HD is the best of both worlds merging the main features of a television and a quality LCD screen packaged in a very attractive design.

This is a full HD monitor with integrated digital terrestrial tuner and 22-inch diagonal. The response time of 5ms and good 50,000:1 dynamic contrast (the contrast is much lower in my tests...) make it comparable to a mid-range LCD television that could easily replace the old TV in my living room.

With the right PC (my main one is a Core 2 Duo processor, 3 GB RAM and 512MB dedicated video card with output in high definition), this monitor, thanks to the HDMI input, becomes an excellent choice for a hardcore gaming enthusiast like me.

The Samsung Suncmaster P2270HD proves to be a good purchase in the field of home video or photo editing too. The pretty large size makes working with adobe premiere or photoshop almost a surreal experience! Before I was often forced to use 2 screens side by side for some of the most intense work, but seriously with so much real estate it doesn't make any sense to maintain my multi-monitor set up. That equals MORE space in my apartment for me.

I recommend this monitor to those who need to replace their old monitor, but also need an all-in-one solution with an integrated digital terrestrial TV tuner.

If you're looking for a 19", consider this 22" to get the full HD experience

I went out shopping for an LCD HD tv to use as a computer monitor and for my PS3, I was looking for a 19" but they all had only 720p, not the full HD of 1080p..that didn't bother me THAT much, but this TV was only £80 more than I was looking at spending.

So, I changed my mind, picked this model and got an extra 3 inches and full HD for an extra £80...my partner wasn't best pleased at first.

However, I am extremely impressed with this TV, it performs brilliantly as a computer monitor (it has connections for VGA and DVI) at 1920 x 1080 with 32 bit colour on my budget nVidia 9400GT card (see my other reviews for a review of this graphics card)

However, this TV really comes into it's own when given a PS3's output to display.

Previously, I had been playing my PS3 on a normal 28" CRT tv and thought it was fine, but now that I've seen it in HD on this TV I couldn't go back. The increased levels of clarity and detail are immense and my gameplay instantly improved due to being able to aim, etc more accurately due to being able to see so much better.

After that I watched a BlueRay disc on it, The Forbidden Kingdom. Now, bear in mind that I have no frame of reference to compare it to because I've never had an HD TV before, but I was extremely impressed with the improvement over a normal TV. I was expecting it to be good, but I was blown away with how much more detail you can see...even down to the pores in someone's skin!

One downside is that the built-in speakers don't seem quite beefy enough for it to be used as a main tv, but as a bedroom tv/computer monitor they perform adequately.

Setup was a breeze with a wizard running when you plug it in for the first time, however, I didn't tune it to any tv channels as it's only for ps3/pc use. The menu's appear very clear and easy to navigate to various settings for sound, picture, etc

To sum up, although I have no previous experience of HD, I am extremely impressed and am glad I risked the wrath of my partner by spending a little extra to get this model. I'd recommend anyone considering a 19" monitor take a look at this 22" with full 1080p HD which smaller screens can't do...yet.

Ultra-slim and ultra-elegant, the ToC design is inspired by the artistic integrity of hand blown glass. The translucent charcoal gray gradation of the bezel and cobalt blue hues of the clear crystal neck subtly shift in color depending upon external light conditions, creating an exquisite interplay between the monitor and the environment that it is placed in.
