I bought this monitor last Christmas to preplace a heavy and bulky 21 inch CRT monitor and I couldn't be happier with the choice and purchase I made.
For just over £200 I bought this Samsung Syncmaster P2450 and don't think I could have made a better purchase for that sum of money. Standing at 24 inches (widescreen) with HDMI input and 1920x1080 resolution this monitor provides beautiful quality. The colours are rich and deep and provide a vibrant display. If your PC doesn't have HD capability it has the standard VGA and DVI inputs.
Due to the refresh rate, watching high resolution media such BluRays is smooth and thoroughly enjoyable.
The touch senstive buttons on the front of monitor are cool and fun to use, although is dim lighting they can be difficult to see and use.
The monitor is incredibly easy to set up out of the box and can be done so in minutes, even for complete novices.
This is a FANTASTIC monitor and would highly recommend it to anyone.
I bought this monitor for my husband when his original monitor crashed for some reason, although I really think that I found an excellent monitor when I found this Samsung model.
The screen has a very high resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, and of course it is a 24" screen, and everything is very bright and crisp. The also monitor has various adjustable settings as well so that you can set its brightness and contrast to your own preference or other things to your own preference too, such as aspect ratio. The HD resolution is brilliant and doesn't hurt your eyes as much as you might think it may do!
The monitor is extremely elegant in its design, with the contemporary modern and 'sleek' look that is so commonly appreciated globally. The screen is actually really big, and sometimes I do wonder why I did buy such a big screen because it often seems unnecessary although it does truly look very stunning in its essence. Some of the touch controls on the monitor mean that occasionally fingerprints are left on the screen although they're unnoticeable when the screen is actually on, and the fact that the height is non adjustable is somewhat annoying if you place the monitor on a low surface compared to where you're sitting, although on a normal desk it's absolutely no problem at all.
The monitor works very well, and I haven't had issues with it apart from blowing the fuse once, but that was because of extreme usage over a period of a few weeks. Also, the monitor works well with a PS3, as my son had tried it out, and it looked good, and it can serve a multi-purpose if you are strapped for cash and want to have it for your PS3 and computer for example.
The installation of the monitor was extremely easy as the disc offered step-by-step, thorough instructions that really only takes about 5 minutes to go through, although easy installation of a monitor isn't really uncommon amongst these kinds of devices.
