Advantages: Beautiful design, Great image quality

Disadvantages: There are monitors that are technically better for the same price

As a digital artist, I need a good quality screen. It would be no use to me if my monitor didn't show colours correctly or not be quite as sharp as I need it to be. And as an artist, I appriciate something pretty, maybe no more than the next man, but I'm a guy that needs something to fill the asthetic quota!

I've found that the Samsung T220 fills this void quite nicely. I bought one of these back in Feb for £180 as a second monitor to go with my 22" Belinea, a decision I didn't make lightly!
I spent a lot of my free time over the previous month thouroughly researching which "22 monitor was the best with a £200 budget to play with.
I found that there are a great range of good quality screens out there, some of which were actually a little technically better than this one. For example; Dell produced a lovely little screen which seemed had gone out of production just weeks before - it was the only other screen that matched the Samsung on looks AND came out stronger on performance.

The T220 does have a lot of options though, you can really customise this monitor to look perfect, it just takes a bit of fiddling around.

Either way, I was hooked on the Samsung. Every curve is beautifully sculpted and thought about. The "touch screen" power button keeps out of the way - not ruining the over all look by sticking out from the casing (although, it can be a little hard to find if you're fumpling around in the dark!).
The stand, while a little unstable, fits the design of the rest of the screen well and can tilt to suit your needs.

Overall I'd totally reccomend this screen. If it was possible to buy that Dell I mentioned I'd go for that one, but I believe it's out of production these days and the follow up model just doesn't have the right style for me.

Summary: A brilliant monitor to show off to your friends!
