Advantages: Outlook, TV remote, picture and sound quality .
Disadvantages: Too small..? Price.
Introduction
I had my first TV few years ago. It was little Sony LCD TV, It costed about $200, picture quality was great, and using it was also really easy. It lasted about one year, and then it simply broke. Actually, It didn't break, but you could watch TV about for 5 minutes and after that, picture dissapeard and sound was really annoying. Anyway, now yesterday, I got new TV for Christmas present. Actually, this is both; computer monitor and also this is TV. So this is multi- functional product.
This TV is also small. But not so small as Sony TV was. It's 22" Samsung LCD TV. First glance was nice, outlook was nice. TV cover is really shining, and there are no buttons on TV. Actually, there is one touch senstive button, to turn on the TV. Picture- and sound quality is awesome. So I introduce this TV for you with short review:
Package
When Santa brought it to the house, then first glance was like, Nice! Tv is packed really well, on the package there is a little TV picture and there are shown some TV functions and things like that. So I opened the package, and there were to soft pieces, what covered the TV. I took these pieces off, and then I saw only TV screen, and two seperate pieces, which has to put together with TV. Putting pieces together was really easy and didn't take a lot of time too.

How it looks?
First, I put pieces together and put it on my cupboard, then I understood, this is exactly right size. I moved it many times, because all the time, I thought that TV falls down of my cupboard. After all, everything was ok, and then I understood how beatiful this TV is. Outlook is really nice, every TV detail shines. Bottom side of the TV, there is a certain cover, which don't let to slip your TV. In summary this is exactly this TV, what befits to my bedroom, because of right size and awesome outlook.

Turning on the TV
First time, I turned it on I didn't understand why this don't turn on himself. I waited about 5 seconds and then it turned on himself. After that, I understood that TV thaw out himself.
It looks out like that; I click turn on button, then about 4 second little lighting twinkles and then TV turns on himself. My neighbor have Samsung TV too, and he have exactly same thing. It seems, that It's normal for Samsung TVs.

The Remote Control
Remote control outlook is exactly same as other Samsung TV remote control has. In brief about outlook; It's really thin, but thereat it's really long. Above side of remote, there is channel buttons. Center of the button, there are buttons to surf in the menus, and also exit, teletext and menu button. Downside the remote, there are some color buttons, but I don't know these buttons purprose.
If we compare this remote control with some other TV remote, then this is surely better. If we put the remote back of the TV, we still can change channels or turn on the TV. So connection with TV is really good.

Picture- and Sound quality
Regardless little size and weight of TV, picture quality is simply awesome, especially if you watch Digital TV. Anyway, you can change your brightness and contrast very much, so you can make your picture quality even better, that It was before. I really love to watch movies, with so good picture quality. Even, if you watch picture from the upside of TV, picture is really good. But most TVs don't have so good picture quality, if you watch from up. But can you imagine picture quality, if you use it as computer monitor, I haven't use it as monitor, but I really think, that picture quality is really awesome, if you use it as monitor. Anyway, in my opinion, picture quality is just awesome.
Also sound quality is really nice. You can change sound volume between different volume altitudes (100). Best volume is then, if volume is on 20 altitude, but if you put your volume on the max, then It's really loud. But anyway, sound quality is really nice, really pure sound, no hiss or something like that.

Programmes and tuning
Changing programmes is easy, I haven't any problems with that. But deleting programmes isn't so easy. Choosing right menu is easy, but I didn't know how to delete channels. So first I choosed Channel Manager from menu, I saw channel list, but I just didn't understand how to delete them. But then I checked out tutorial from the computer and then I understood, that I have to use color buttons. It took a lot of time, but It was well worth.

Conclusion
In conclusion this TV is like other Samsung TVs; nice outlook and great picture and sound quality. If you want great TV for your kitchen or to your bedroom, this is really good decision. But if we look at the price, then we see one big number. This is about $400, so It's not something cheap, regardless, how small it is. Anyway, I don't care this price, picture quality is really nice, and this is most important, or no?
So, if you want great TV, this is really good decision.

- 26/12/08 So, you've only used it as a TV and not as a computer monitor as well! Pity, I would have liked to have known if it lived up to your expectations. |
