... need a high end graphics card to cope with the resolution. The only downside I found was that my unit had 2 dead pixels, right next to each other. This isn t noticeable until the screen goes dark, where these 2 red dots stand out very clearly. Unfortunately Comet nor Samsung would let me return the unit for this, so I am stuck with them. Samsung Syncmaster 2053BW ... looking at monitors for high performance computing such as gaming and video editing, you cant get much better than this offering from samsung. I have two of these in a dual monitor setup at work and i was so impressed that i bought one for my home pc as well! It is not the biggest you can get, but 20" is more than enough and when it looks as beautiful as this you wont even notice. The contrast ratio is fantastic, making for bright and vibrant colours. The low 2ms responce rate means that i have never experienced any ghosting problems. There are only two small downsides to this screen. The first is that the stand is not adjustable. Samsung Syncmaster 223BW ... hassle to get working, screw it to the stand and plug it in. The specs say it all really, 1600x1050 resolution, 5ms response time. Nice and bright, no dead pixels (in mine). VGA and DVI inputs let you connect a PC and an xbox360, and switch between at the press of a button (something I find very useful anyhow). If you use a resolution not native to the monitor (1600x1200 im using), a box pops up every time you come out of a full screen application, and only goes away when you press a button on the monitor. This can get quite annoying if you have to do it regularly. Swivels easily, however I havn t been able to tilt mine, and I don t want to force it as I didnt see men...
