Advantages: Cheap

Disadvantages: Get what you pay for

I purchased this graphics tablet when I first got into digital art. Having looked around and found this locally, I decided to purchase the larger size to give me a bit more workspace. At £90, it was quite pricey, but 1/3rd of the price of some of the other brands of graphics tablets.

The tablet was easy to install, userfriendly, and seemed to be a good deal. Drawing was smooth, it was compatible with all the image editing software I owed, you could customise the controls easily and it was pretty accurate with its positioning and pressure sensitivity - one thing I was concerned about, going for the cheaper option.

However, it didn't take long for the tablet to malfunction, having a certain 'divide' on the drawing area, where upon drawing on it, my cursor would skip across the screen. I returned the tablet to the store for a replacement, but again, within months I had problems - a similar skipping area, and a little jumpiness in the pen, meaning my lines were slightly wobbly, as if I had the shakes while drawing.

On the plus side, Trust's customer support were pretty good, even sending me a free replacement pen incase that was where the problems lied. They didn't, and I ended up just investing in the more expensive Wacom tablet, but I suppose you get what you pay for.

For someone interested in some occasional doodling, or wanting to try out a graphics tablet for the first time, I'd recommend the smaller Trust tablets. I purchased one of the smaller sizes as a family gift, as the low cost makes them within my budget for a present, and you're not forking out too much if you then decide you don't get along with a graphics tablet. However, I wouldn't really recommend spending £90 on a product that doesn't seem to last all that long.

Summary: OK if you don't expect too much for your money
