Advantages: Cheap, relatively good image quality, good response time, great viewing angles
Disadvantages: stuck pixels, not the best plastics used in the bezel, the power LED is too bright
Well not much can be said about this monitor, it's a top notch LCD.
The image is nice and crisp when optimal resolution is used, the response time is beyond words, the matrix will provide that without equivoque.
So gamers will need to look into this monitor. Luminosity is very good, so is the contrast. I would like some more gamut out of it ... so not recommended for those who's sweet tooth are dug into graphic editing. The view angles are good, I have yet to experience problems on this point of view. The plastic frame is solid, the plastic which it is made out of is of good quality, all tho I have seen better in my time. The panel itself is not the best in one point of view ... stuck pixels have been reported throughout the internet by the people that bought them. I have experienced this problem myself, all tho i have to say it's a minor inconvenience when browsing, watching movies, gaming, and so on; it is barely visible due to the high resolution.
The price tag is below the average LCD's of the same size and specifications, so in that aspect it is a product to consider.
Conclusion: This is a well balanced LCD provided by ViewSonic, up to specs in performance, aimed at the value area of this market niche. Good for watching movies with friends, gaming, in short ... the average user will find this LCD more than enough.
Summary: Good LCD for the $ you spend
