I was in the market to buy a cheap and reliable 24" monitor, having spent a seemingly endless amount of time comparing monitors i came across this one as an open box offer! it was too good an offer to resist! Having read several opinions on this monitor (good and bad) i was willing to take the risk- and i'm not disappointed. Upon delivery i opened the box to find it very well packed with everything in place, taking out the monitor and snapping on the stand was a doodle and the monitor is really light so is very easily moved. Hooking up the pc was easy with no fiddly access to the vga connection on the back of the monitor. Looking at the screen the colours were vivid and very sharp compared to my old lg 20" screen, a few slight contrast adjustments and all was perfect. Upping the resolution caused no problems with windows and the image was blur free and pin sharp at all times- great so far. Now onto connecting the xbox360- Being a 1920x1200 resolution meant i could have a wider choice of resolution on this monitor and it doesn't disappoint, no visible ghosting and a good sharp image was displayed even at the higher resolutions. All in all a good image for everyday desktop and gaming purposes. Onto the build quality and this may raise an eyebrow with some people, bearing in mind mine was a n open box product i wasn't overly bothered but there is a slight warp on the front bezel where the logo is- its as if the fit isn't quite right and it bends out a little bit. This is the only fault i can find! for the price the build quality is adequate and will not cause any bother with the overall black finish being uniform with no blemishes etc. Overall im really pleased with this monitor and its been one of the best bargain buys of 2008.
