Monty Python's Spamalot: ... was something reassuring about planning a trip to see Spamalot. Even before going, you pretty much know the entire story, the characters and the jokes. It is either going to be a straight rehash of the 1975 film, or a hybrid of the film and an assortment of the Python s best-loved sketches. Either way, it is going to be as comforting (or excruciating) as watching another Monty Python rerun. Except it s not....

DancingCopper Blood Brothers
... Brothers was one of the first musical theatre productions I saw and I was determined not to like it. The reason for this was because my younger sister had seen it before me and had raved about how great it was. Naturally, in the laws that govern brother-sister relationships, this meant I had to dislike it. Blood Brothers is a very difficult show to dislike, so I have to admit defeat as far as that little piece of sibling rivalry went. Initially I saw the touring production in Nottingham but I have since seen it several times at the Phoenix Theatre in London. I don t have a particular fixation with the show, but it is a useful one for GCSE students to study and ...

jasminesarah The Mighty Boosh Live (Stage)
... Dooyoo have messed this up a bit, as I requested the Mighty Boosh 2008 stage show, and they seem to be referring to the 1st Live Show on DVD - but hey ho. I went to see the Boosh at Bristol Hippodrome on Monday (27th October 2008), and it is the live Live Show that I am reviewing. Loved the radio show, loved the first two series, loved the Live Show (pictured above) and loved the last series, would love watching Noel Fielding watching paint dry - so I was very excited to get tickets to see the Mighty Boosh! On arrival at the Hippodrome we were allowed straight in to find our seats, perusing the over-priced merchandise on the way. (Crack Fox T-shirts and Eels pant...

DancingCopper Wicked The Musical
... is a musical that tells the story of The Wizard of Oz from the Wicked Witch of the West s point of view. The musical production was first staged in 2003 and has been a fixture in the West End and on Broadway ever since. Based on Gregory Maguire s excellent novel, much has been changed to create a simpler narrative. The show begins just after Dorothy has soaked the Wicked Witch, thus destroying her. The Good Witch of the North, Galinda, celebrates with the citizens of Oz, but we are taken back to the beginning of the Wicked Witch s story. At birth the witch, named Elphaba, has a difficult life ahead of her. Not only is she from the rustic backwater of Muchkinl...
