Advantages: Good show

Disadvantages: out of date sound system

The last time I saw this show was 10 years ago. I thought How about seeing the show again after all this time?

Blood Brothers has been running at the Pheniox Theatre since its launch 13 years ago. I got tickets at £20 for a front row seat (A row).

The story is basd in Liverpool and is about a poor mother who has twins, she is so poor she cannot afford to keep both of them, so she gives one of them away to her rich employer across the street.

The kids grow up in very different backgrounds not knowing that one of them were given away at birth. Thats until the truth comes out and then disaster!

You would think after 10 years of running the theatre would have updated their sound technology? I have a hearing imparment, and there was no amplification of the actor's voices. Despite sitting in the front row I found it very difficult to hear everything that was being said on stage. I have a feeling that people towards the back of the theatre had similar ptoblems too,

I feel this is a discrace! An excelent show marred by out of date sound technology. The theatre does not even have an infrered system to help hearing impared people hear what is going on.
