Having wanted to see this show for over ten years and never got the chance till this year. I was really looking forward to my visit to the theatre and hoping to see a good show. I was not disappointed.

This show brings home the true meaning of life in the run down area of Liverpool.

The songs stay in your mind, especially 'Tell Me It's Not True' (if you are not in tears by this point - you should be).

The way the two brothers grow up, you learn to love them both and sympathise with the mother unable to change things.

A very simplistic set - yet work brilliantly on the stage, a slight rake helps you see the action (slanted stage).

Another show not to miss in the West End, not a big puller like Les Mis or POTO, but worth a visit or three.

This played at the Liverpool Empire for about 928735 nights, I think ;-) I was living in Toxteth at the time, but never went to see it! Silly me.

Careful with the slang & abbreviations - non-fans might be puzzled by POTO [Phantom Of The Opera] and suchlike. And again, a bit more detail would be nice.

One other little tip: it's generally the case that you get more interest in your ops (and more reads!) if you don't submit them very close together. I reckon no closer than about two hours apart for best effect.

Sorry for the low rating, but people who have not seen this show still might not know what its about. I agree with you about the songs being tear-jerking - when some students from my school did this show, my friend sang 'Tell me its not true' and it was great.
