Comedy clubs have to be one of the best nights out you can have. Beer, food, chat and plenty of laughs. There are two great comedy clubs in the centre of Birmingham. The Glee Club and Jongleurs. Both have a great reputation for showing excellent comedy acts. Often if you go up during the week you will find some A Star comics trying out new material for latest tour. That can be vey good.

Its also good because you will get to see comics on the way up. I don't know how many times I have been up seen a comic and then a few months later he will be on some chat show on TV. Marcus Brigstock was one. Never heard of him before and now he is QI all the time.

The good thing about the comedy clubs is that you can have few drinks before the show starts relax and chat. You will then get a presenter who warms the crowd up and he is usually funny and then 3 comedy acts. Each one lasts around 20 minutes to half hour. There are breaks in between each act where you can go and top up your beer. The only thing I would say is don't go up when there is an England game on. I have done it twice and have noticed that people tend to have a bit too much to drink. So when somebody tries to heckle then is has been known to be nasty rather than fuinny and people tend to spoil the show for you generally because they are way to drunk. All the other times I have been I have always had a really good night and experienced an excellent atmosphere.

Comedy nights are a great night and you will have plenty of laughs. Shop around for 2 for 1 tickets too. They are around will save you some money.
