Having only one real show that we wanted to see in London and no being able to get cheap-ish tickets for it we went to Leicester Square to see what was available.
I'd seen adverts for Fat Pig in the tube stations earlier that day and even I recognised some of the cast. Not being a huge celebrity follower I was quite impressed!
We got tickets for Fat Pig, and although reduced they still cost £27 each. The theatre is a studio theatre, basically it's tiered but no circle/dress circle etc. It's just like stalls but tierd. I therefore think that whereever you sat you would get a good view.
I only had the description of the box office person at Leicester Square to go on - it's a comedy about a bloke who starts dating someone who is fat and the stick he gets from his work mates. I won't go into more of the plot as I hate it when people write reviews and give away the plot of something.
The scenes were all quite short and snappy, which was good. The music between the scenes was catchy and kept everyone interested.
I must say that it wasn't a funny as I thought it would be.
The ending is rather dull and we both felt that it just needed another scene at the end.
It was a show different to other things that I've seen but I wouldn't rush to recommend it to anyone. Yes, it's nice for a change but then again it is quite expensive.
Life is good for Tom. Hes successful at work, has some great mates and a fantastic new girlfriend. Ok, so shes a little on the large side, but he loves her and thats what counts, isnt it?
