The Glee club is a a fantastic venue to see some of the finest comics in action. There is always a really good atmosphere and I have always enjoyed the experience.

It is a well respected club which is well known on the comedy circuit. Comics such as Jasper Carrot, Lee Evans Frank Skinner and Jonny Vegas have done their trade at the club. One of the things I like about the Glee club is you can really make a night of it. You can normally get tickets on the door although if someone really big is playing it is best to book. You can have a relaxed drink in lovely little bar before you actually go in and take your seats. It really is very good value all round.

A night out here will cost you £14 on a Thursday night alnd a bit more on a weekend. You will be looking at £15 which doesn't include the food. Although there are deals you can get and vouchers to be obtained. The Thursday night deal will inlclude good quality food obviously tickets for the gig and also once the chairs have been cleared you can dance the night away as the DJs play good music. You will get 3 comics each lasting around 30 minutes. You also get a compare who tends to be very experienced even though they may not be a household name.

These nights at the Glee club are bound to hurt your belly. You will be laughing righ the way through and it is almost impossible not to have a good night. The venue is great for the birthday party you need to plan or the works night out that you want. It is also great for dates or just a few mates up for a laugh. Just don't go near the front unless you have a thick skin or really like having the mickey taken out of you. This is something that I have found to my cost in the past.

If your travelling by car you can park in in one of the multi storeys in China town or if your going by public transport catch the train to New Street Station and it is just a short walk down from there.

Overall the Glee club is a great place to go. It does also host music events in a different room on certain nights but the main room is where the action is. With plenty of banter, lots of laughs and a brilliant atmosphere the Glee club in Birmingham comes highly recommended.
