Advantages: Fantastic acts, great entertainment
Disadvantages: over 18s only
It's a difficult task to sum up La Clique in words. Nothing I could write would do it justice!! I'll give it a go though...
La Clique, currently showing at the London Hippodrome in Leicester Square, is a collection of acts that combine aspects of comedy, circus, cabaret and burlesque.
The acts range from amazing acrobatics and circus skills to a comedy strip tease (yes, this production is only for over 18s!).
I am reluctant to mention too many details - I don't want to ruin the element of surprise - but I cannot possibly post a review without devoting part of it to the mesmerising David O'Mer. His aerial ballet above and inside a bath full of water was my absolute favourite!
Tickets are not cheap (£25-£37 for a seat, £10/£15 to stand) but my parter and I found £10 seat tickets on lastminute.com and went to the late showing on Saturday night. We had a great time and I cannot recommend it highly enough - such a talented cast!
For anyone who doesn't mind a bit of cheeky nudity, it's a fun, different and captivating evening's entertainment.
Quite simply, it must be seen!
Summary: La Clique - Go see it!!

- 10/11/08 Sorry for the low rating but this category is for reviews about the Hippodrome. I suggest that you ask one of the guides to get it moved for you, Susasn |
