Advantages: Great CD from a great musical

Disadvantages: ly buy if you have seen the musical

Mamma Mia is a musical based on the songs by Abba. This is a review of the CD which has the original cast recordings from the musical.

Before I start, I would like to say only get this CD if you have seen the musical. If you like Abba music then get an Abba CD. Listening to this CD before watching the musical would spoil it.

That said, if you have seen the musical then this CD is a must buy. This is a chance to relive those amazing memories of what is an amazing musical.


~~~THE MUSICAL~~~

As I have said, Mamma Mia is a musical based on the songs of Abba. If you have not seen the musical then I would thoroughly recommend it. The songs were written before the musical which means the story had to fit in around the songs. This is done brilliantly in the musical and sometimes it feels like the songs were written for the story not vice versa.

I have seen the Edinburgh version twice and I love it. The singers are brilliant. It is truly a feel good musical which is funny and heart-warming.

Mamma Mia is world famous and award winning. I recommend it to everyone.

Abba wrote some classic song. Some are catchy and some are powerful. This CD has all the best Abba songs and more. In my opinion, there isn't a bad song on this CD.

This CD can be purchased for around £9 on Amazon. I think this is good value for money for a 27 song CD considering how good the songs are. This CD is more expensive if you buy it at the musical so wait and get it from Amazon or similar.
