Manchesters library theatre is situated in the basement of the library, in the centre of Manchester. It hosts small plays, for short amounts of time. The last play I saw was 'Waiting for Godot', starring Roy from Coronation Street. The theatre itself is small and intimate, with reasonably comfy seats. The Library Theatre, located in the basement of the Library building in central Manchester, is a small theatre, and tends to have short seasons, or one-off performances from travelling companies. I have been to a recent performance (Jackie Clune) and enjoyed it tremendously, but there was one big problem... Over the Summer, the theatre was refurbished. So all looks very smart and pleasant, but the seats are extremely uncomfortable. I'm not very tall, and don't have long legs, so I'm not unused to my feet not touching the floor, but it seemed that this is how it is for everyone, except maybe 6 ft tall men.
