Advantages: Enjoyable night

Me and my friends went here one night to celebrate a birthday before heading to Liverpool town centre.
We paid £25.00 each to include the show and a dinner. £15.00 for the show and £10.00 for the dinner. For the dinner, we got a good choice of food actually. I remember having the steak and there were different choices of foods such as pastas, steaks, chicken and salads. The size of the meal was quite big, but most importantly, it didnt taste microwaved and tasted like it was actually cooked. Good food.
The food came before the show which was good as me and my friends would have probably have been really really hungry had it have been given to us after the show. The show started at 7.30pm (i think) and the food was served at about 8.00pm. The show started once everyone had eaten and tables had been cleared.
Before we actually went to this show we had heard that the comedians make jokes from the audience and we were a little nervous actually that we would get jokes made about us. As one for not liking alot of attention, I wast particularly looking forward to having a joke made about me.
When we walked into the club, we were shown to our pre-allocated seats. We were only right at the front werent we, left wing of the stage, in full view of the comedian. Oh dear.
Me and friends all didnt particularly want a joke made about us so we tried to shuffle our table back a little and tried to be less in the limelight. Although thinking back this was a pointless action as we were at the front... we were still at the front, but we just looked like the shy group now so maybe more attention.
The host came on, who was really good and snappy with his jokes. He then introduced the first act, out of three. The first one was really good.. nice short snappy jokes. There was then an interval so we could have toilet breaks, but some snacks, drinks and that type of thing. The prices were a little more expensive than you would expect, but I usually find that is the case with most show type places. Theatres are the worst for it. After the interval, the host came on to introduce the second act. However, he made some jokes about the audience first and came to our table. Two people from our table had jokes made on them, but nothing too bad or offensive. Phew. Then the second act came on. He was ok, but you could tell he was nervous. The thing that made it worse was that the crowd were basically telling him he was rubbish, but he then made jokes about the people to make up for it. The third act was rather amazing, he used a musical instrument and sang alot of his crude jokes. He had the WHOLE audience in hysterics.
After all the acts had been on the ampere came back on to thank the audience and the acts.
Overall, we all had a really good time at the Rawhide Comedy Club and shared alot of laughes. Like mentioned, the second act wasnt brilliant, but everyone has to start somewhere. Would probably go again, but with a group of people like I did last time.
Summary: Great night!
