The Mighty Boosh Live (Stage)

The Mighty Boosh in my opinion is the work of comedy Genius. A lot of the people i speak to about the Mighty Boosh state that they just don't get it, but i really feel there is nothing to get. The Mighty Boosh is all about just not thinking into it, its fun, silly, quirky, weird, wrong but hilarious. Julian Barrat and Noel Fielding play Howard Moon and Vince Noir in the Mighty Boosh adventures. Howard moon is the older less cool jazz fan, usually mocked but realistically a lot smarter than his co-star Vince Noir the electric cool king of Camden Elite, and adorable but stupid character who female fans can't help but fall in love with. I love the Mighty Boosh and was gutted when I didn't manage to get any tickets to see them at the Live show 2008. Only at the last minute, literally about 5 days before the gig I managed to get hold of 2 front row tickets for the Leeds show from a friend! So on the 9th December myself and a friend went along to the Grand theatre in Leeds city centre for a night of pure comedy. We were seated more or less in the middle of the front row. Before the show we had a chance to buy the merchandise. I would have liked one of everything but it was really expensive so I only ended up buying a mug. Well, Dooyoo have messed this up a bit, as I requested the Mighty Boosh 2008 stage show, and they seem to be referring to the 1st Live Show on DVD - but hey ho. I went to see the Boosh at Bristol Hippodrome on Monday (27th October 2008), and it is the 'live' Live Show that I am reviewing. Loved the radio show, loved the first two series, loved the Live Show (pictured above) and loved the last series, would love watching Noel Fielding watching paint dry - so I was very excited to get tickets to see the Mighty Boosh!
