Advantages: an overwhelming experience , a good night out

Disadvantages: I can't think of any

I've had never been to the theatre before and i only went because we had bought the tickets for my father in law but he ended up not coming down so we had to use the tickets or waste them. I was glade we used the it was a brilliant show, when i went John Owen-jones played the phantom and what a brilliant job he did. I was on the edge of my seat most of the time watching, there was one moment when the chandilier fell when you was'nt quite expecting it that gave everybody a jump, the way they managed to move all the scenery at the right time was great all the actors and actresses played their parts brilliantly. I never thought i would like theatre shows but it was one of the best experiences i have ever had.
The show originally started back in 1986 when the original phantom was Michael Crawford, it was given good ratings then and i still think it's a brilliant show to go and see i'd like to go and see it again.
It is being shown at Her Majesty's Theatre in Haymarket London and ticket prices range from between £33 & £60 it is well worth going to see but make sure you take plenty of money with you as their bar is a little bit on the expensive side, they also bring round the snack trays that you can buy from. When you leave you can buy some momento's from their shop which is by the door, which has a range of c.d's, t-shirts, mugs and so on.
At the moment the shows are showing from monday-saturday evenings at 7.30pm and tuesdays & saturday matinees at 2.30pm. It is a short walk from charing cross train station.

Sounds interesting, I don't think I've ever seen anything at the theatre that wasn't a pantomime or stand-up comic.
