Advantages: Many well known productions

Disadvantages: Can get expensive if you want to see lots of shows

Here in Milton Keyens we have a wonderful purpose built modern theatre that has only opened in the last 10 years.

But in that time we have had a huge choice of entertainment. There have been huge west end productions available, such as CATS or Evita, there have been plays for the children - the very first show was Rosie and Jim - from Tracey Beaker to Tom's Midnight garden.

There are also one off specials when comedians such as Jimmy Carr or mediums and psychics appear.

There have been shows that start their run here before appearing in the West End, and each year the Glyndebourne Opera usually have a weeks residency where they perform at least two opera's.

Ballet fans are also well catered for and you can usually find at least one ballet each quarter. The facilities at the theatre are perfect, and if you want a meal before the show there are many restaurants, for all tastes and pockets located within two minutes of the theatre entrance.

The ticket prices do vary significantly depending on the show that you want to watch so the best tickets can set up back about £30 for the bigger shows.

The theatre is big enough to gain atmosphere but is not too big that you lose the connection with actors on stage.

Summary: Great facilities, great productions, a fantastic facility for the city
