Advantages: Amazing performances, excellent story
Disadvantages: Expensive tickets, but that is expected
Despite being fairly young, I personally have become quite a fan of musicals and this is one the reasons why. Wicked follows Elphaba who is aklso known as the Wicked Witch of the West in the acclainmed Wizard of Oz and has a constant message of how people are cvonstantly misunderstood despite their good iontentions, something which everyone in life has an experience of. He green appearance is complimented by the traditional characters of Dorothy , The white witch, Tin Man, Lion and the scarecrow, to name a few. The plot itself takes guideliens from the Wizard of Oz but revolutionizes it and makes the audience see the story in a totally different light. I saw the show over a year ago and then the performance were extraordinary with the actors sing ing and choreography outstanding. As i walked out of the thearte i begged my wallet to allow me to see more but despite its large cost, as expected with all the top end London West End shows, it wasn';t cheap but regardless it would be worth it given the tickets were £100.
Summary: One of the best shows on the West End, hands down
