Alton Towers, is talked about loads, its a great place, so with my Merlin annual pass I went to find our for my self. The rides are a bit slow starting to start with but soon get going. The rides are for all ages, there are even some for Grandma and Granddad. With my pass I got to jump the queues on some rides, but even with the ones I queued for they weren't too bad and if you don't have a VIP pass or one of them you can buy, you can also look at using the single riders queue if there are just few of you going on that ride, 3 of us used it and we still got to sit together! Alton Towers is arguably England's best known and best loved theme park. It is nestled discretely in the Staffordshire countryside, and the approach by road from the south is beautiful as you travel through dramatic countryside, particularly as you get close. Almost as soon as you arrive, you are hit by the theme music that everyone, adult and child, know so well. And if you don't know it, you'll be whistling it under your breath by the end of the day! Car parks are large and spacious and you travel into the park via monorail, which the kids love. Alton Towers is a Theme Park in Staffordshire in England. It's arguably the best theme park in the UK. It's spread out over quite a large area and has lots of different rides of varying scariness. For the real thrill seekers there are rides like RITA, Air, Nemesis and Oblivion. As you'd expect they'll fling you around, upside down and all, at top speed. For the less adventurous there are slower rides, and other ones were you'll end up soaked. I like the cable cars that give you a great view of the lovely grounds and the 'Towers'.
