Advantages: Variety of attractions, Good places to eat, Lots of seats, Thrilling

Disadvantages: Gets busy in the height of the summer

Aqualandia is a water park in Spain on the Costa Blanca. It is just on the edge of the tourist city Benidorm located beside the Mediterranean sea. The water park has many different attractions and areas, which makes it an excellent day out. It's rival attraction is the Terra Mitica theme park not far from here but aqualandia is cheaper at around 24 euros a ticket depending on your age etc. You can easily spend a day here and enjoy the summer sun and thrill of all the rides.

There are many different water slides here. The main ones as pictured above this review are the big bang. There are two large slides - one yellow one, which is basically vertical and the blue one starts in a tunnel before dropping you down the slide (scarier in my opinion). There is also a green tunnel slide, an orange one and then white ones to the side where you go down on blue mats.

Other slides include the Kamikaze, which is a fast shoot with two different versions. There is also a black hole where you go down in a boat of two people and the inside is pitch black. There is one slide (my favourite) where you simply get on the top and 5 people go down at one time. It is a very wide slide and slippery so you gain speed and sometimes get a bit of air over the bumps on the way down.

There is another area with a sort of assault course. There are monkey chains across the water along with diving platforms into deep water. There is even a zip wire across deep water, which you take across before eventually letting go and then swimming to the edge. There is an area for children too along with more slides, which aren't as thrilling. There are plenty of places to eat including restaurants and snack bars, which serve things like drinks, waffles and ice creams. The restaurants mostly serve fast food such as burgers and pizzas.

There is a wave machine too, which is great fun along with plenty of seating areas if you are looking to relax and catch a bit of sun. However, be aware that the sun here in the summer is very strong so make sure you have protection! It makes a great day out and I would recommend going here for a day if you are on holiday in the Costa Blanca or in Benidorm itself.

Thanks for reading

Summary: An excellent water park with loads of different slides and attractions
