Advantages: Great day out
Disadvantages: Can get tiring, not a lot of shelter so risk of sun burn
Aquatica is a water park with lots of great slides, a lazy river and other water attractions within it. It is owned by the Sea World company and there is a free bus that goes between the two parks at hour intervals.
Entrance to the park in around £30 per person, this gives you a great day. There good changing facilities and lockers for you to keep your clothes and valuables in while you are within the park and you can also hire towels.
The attractions within Aquatica are, a lazy river where you can view dolphins and tropical fish, a massive water play area for kids, loads of great slides, including one that goes through a dolphin pool (however with all the water in my eyes I never seen any dolphins), two wave pools and a white sand beech and a rapid pool. There are colourful life jackets of all sizes for the weaker swimmers or people who get nervous in the water.
This is a great day out for the family however tropical storms can ruin it very quickly so check the weather before you decide to visit it. Also it can be very tiring for younger and all guests to stay in the park all day and you must remember to bring your sun tan lotion and keep well hydrated when you are in the park as shelter is limited.
There are great cafes that provide fast food and also iced treats at a reasonable price within the park, most of these cafes provide shelter so you wont get burnt while you are eating your food.
The park was a great addition to our holiday in Florida and I recommend visiting it to anyone who is a healthy swimmer and likes to have a bit of a splash around on their holiday.

- 26/01/09 I have never been to the other water parks in Florida unfortunatly so I cant really compare the two parks? I liked the rides though I dont have much to compare them with. :) |

- 26/01/09 I've also read that rides are not as good as they sounded which was disappointing as we hope to go there this summer. Did you visit Typhoon Lagoon / Blizzard Beach? Is it a better park than those would you say? (Sorry for all the questions!) |

- 24/01/09 i found the slides had a very long waiting time in the morning but as the peak time (2pm) passed then there was shorter que times. I liked the rides, especially the lazy river :) |
