I have decided to write an opinion, on Blackpool pleasure beach, as I visit this amusement park at least once a year. And every time I go, I am always surprised at how much it has changed from the last time I visited. Blackpool it’s self has recently been nick named “the golden mile” as it is a mile of great attractions such as arcades, the tower, a casino and not forgetting the pleasure beach. The pleasure beach has over one hundred rides, which suit children, toddlers and us adults. They introduce a new ride attraction to Blackpool pleasure beach every year, the must recent ones being “the Pepsi max big one” which is currently the second highest roller coaster in the world. THE RIDES. The Valhalla, It is a high speed water coaster, in the dark which is guaranteed to get you soaking wet from head to toe, They do sell water proof jackets for a pound, but they are no use what so ever. So if you do decide to have a go on this make sure it is a nice hot day. This ride is also a new addition to the pleasure beach. The Pepsi max big one, This is a high-speed roller coaster, and one of the highest in the world. Once you reach the top of this coaster, the views are spectacular so it is worth trying just to get a glimpse of that scenery. The avalanche, Also this is a high speed, turbulent bob sleigh roller coaster. It is very short compared to some of the other ride, but still worth trying. The ice blast, This is also a new addition the theme park; it is a high-speed vertical ascent/Decent ride. I can’t say much about this, as I have never been on it, it is far too intense for me, and all I will say, is that people were coming off green. Here are some of the other white-knuckle rides that are also very good. Big dipper, Grand National, the grand prix, the log flume, the revolution, space invader, the steeplechase, the wild mouse and the black hole. An
d lots more. OTHER ATTRACTIONS. The ice arena. You can Learn to Ice Skate with the professionals, at the ice arena, which is open daily to the public for ice skating, you can even learn how to skate, they do lessons for beginners and improvers, any this is open to people of any age. There is also a professional ice show, which is also highly recommended, by many people. Pasaje del terror. There is also a new walk-through multimedia horror experience, Pasaje Del Terror; it is guaranteed to send a cold shiver down the spine of even the most daring of souls. A walk through the Pasaje Del Terror is a walk on the wild side. So try it if you dare. The Millennium Dome. The Blackpool Pleasure Beach Millennium Dome is a futuristic family entertainment center with fun, thrills, a Millennium Bug, a brand new simulator enabling guests to design and ride their own roller coaster, Europe's first UV arcade, all with a total Millennium theme. Bowl-a-Drome. A themed family arcade with state of the art video game machines, plus a 6-lane bowling alley. Available for private hire. Adjacent to the Rib Shack Cafe & Bar, which serves meals, drinks or snacks. The entry in to the pleasure beach is free, and rides can cost up to 4.50 per person, which is very expensive, but you can but an unlimited riding wristband for the day which costs 25 pounds, this may sound expensive but it isn’t, it is great value for money. So why not spoil yourself go to Blackpool pleasure beach, it is a fantastic day out, and if you fancied staying the night you can pick up a bed and breakfast, from just 10 pounds. Thank you for reading.

- 15/08/02 I always like the look of the rides when my feet are planted firmly on the ground! Great op. |
|
- 09/08/02 I must admit it's tidier than Rhyll.
But i't s along way to go before it looks anything like Las Vegas. |

- 08/08/02 It's been years since we were there. I was always terrified by that manic laughing clown booth. I hope it's not still there! |
