I have visited Orlando Florida for many years, and I have to say I was getting rather bored with the same tourist attractions, like Disney and the theme parks. Although these are great fun you can't help but think that Orlando must have more to offer. Have you ever wanted to visit Florida's everglades? If this is the trip for you. On one of my many visits to Florida, I took the boggy creek air boat trip. This has got to be one of the best moments of my life, although I hate the thought of alligators, they frighten the life out of me. We "loved" the Boggy Creek Airboat Rides experience. Dispelling all the misconceptions, the Florida Everglades headwaters begin just 30-40 mins south from the Disney area, which is where Boggy Creek Airboats are located. We showed up early one morning (when unbeknown to us in advance the wildlife is at its most active), and literally walked straight on - no queueing. 30-40 min ride across the swamp and lakes, we saw alligators, all kinds of birdlife including bald eagles, and most of all, it was a relaxed morning out away from the hussle and bustle of the major theme parks.
