Advantages: Excellent rides, good value for money
Disadvantages: Very hot, can be a tad busy
Right I will probably be disliked for this but I had failed to find the correct Busch gardens for me on here, and that would be in Williamsburg, VA and so I am writing about it here.
In my opinion Busch Gardens Va is an unsung hero, as the fact that Dooyoo only has the option to write about the Tampa Busch gardens. It is alot less well known than its counterpart in Florida but this is not to say it is not as good! Busch gardens officialy has some of the most thrilling rides in the world. Its location in Virginia means that it is often hot and very humid in the summer, in fact humid to the extent that you cannot belive you here people moaning about the humidity in the UK...it makes it a joke! For some this is off putting but I like hot weather. Fortunately water rides such as escape from Pompei and the Log Flume offer you the chance to cool down, as does waterpark USA right down the road.
The actual part is based on a European theme, with various parts of the park supposing to be countries in Europe, from quaint little England to the Munich beerfest over in Germany. Each section comes with a set of rides tuned to tie in with its theme, such as the Loch Ness Monster in Scotland, a great rollercoaster. However perhaps the best rides have to be that of Appollo's Chariot in Italy, which was the first rollercoaster ever to use the daring T-shaped harness to strap you in, and although completely safe it does put you on edge and has you second guessing if it will actually keep you in especially when you are tumbling to the ground from a 210 ft drop.
Secondly there is Alpengeist, which is the tallest inverted rollercoaster in the world, well worth a visit. Busch Gardens Va also boasts the Big bad wolf, where upon you are to enjoy travelling at the "Speed of Fright!"
Overall the park is a great attraction for families, with smaller rides such as Da Vinci's cradle, to animal shows such as Jack Hanna's wildlife reserve.
Its a great day out to be had, that is if you can withstand the humid heat that Virginia is so famous for!
Summary: A good day out
