Advantages: The park has a great sellection of Roller Coasters

Disadvantages: This park is not really for someone who like the small rides

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is a themed park located in Tampa, Florida. It opened in March 1959 as an admission-free hospitality facility for the Tampa Anheuser-Busch brewery on the grounds of the manufacturing plant. Now it has been converted in to one of the best theme park sound the world (But you have to pay to get in. About $50)

The theme the park has is of an African safari with most of its rides named after animals or regions of Africa. The is most known for its extensive and very impressive roller coasters and has many rides in the worlds top 50. The park also is home to many animals.

The park is split in to lands like most theme parks. The park has 2 forms of transport in the park. The Serengeti Express - a replica steam train that runs along the back end of the park and makes stops at the Nairobi, Congo and Stanleyville themed areas. The Skyride - A cable car that transports guests between Crown Colony and Stanleyville. The parks main rides are:

Gwazi - 90ft wooden roller coaster and is one of many signature rides.
SheiKra - The parks main ride. A 200-foot floorless dive roller coaster with a 90-degree vertical drop.
Kumba - a 143-foot steel sit-down roller coaster with seven inversions.
Scorpion, a steel sit-down roller coaster with one vertical loop.
Montu - a 150-foot roller coaster with seven inversions.

The park also has Land of the Dragons. This area is a children's section filled with scaled down versions of popular thrill rides and a massive treehouse playground.

The Serengeti Plain is the parks 29-acre animal habitat. The area allows animals a free-roaming environment. It is home to the Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, bongo, addax, addra gazelle, eland, impala, ostrich, marabou stork, East African crowned crane and sacred ibis. The Myombe Reserve is a 3-acre home for six lowland gorillas and nine chimpanzees. Edge of Africa is a walk-through attraction where guests can observe African animals. Among the exhibits are meerkats, two prides of lions, a pack of hyenas, a few hippos, and a troop of lemurs.

This park is great for animal lovers and thrill seekers but no so much for a person who likes small rides. I love this park as I love roller coasters and think is well worth the trip from Orlando.

Summary: Worth a Visit
