Advantages: cheap compared to other theme parks suits the whole family
Disadvantages: quite small
camelot is a great day out which is especially fun for children.
the theme park is located in chorley lancashire and is relatively easy to get to.
it is easily accessible by car, coach and train.
it costs around £20 for both child and adult admissions or you can buy a family ticket for around £65 which is a lot cheaper than other theme parks.
it has a number of medieval shows which are performed throughout the day where you can watch different knights jousting. children love it and it gives you chance to have a sit down and relax.
shows are included in the entry price so it is at no extra cost to yourselves.
camelot offers a variety of rides for people of all ages.
for the thrill seekers there is a variety of rides which will attract you including the rack, the whirlwind and my personal favourite excalibur 2.
excalibur is a large sword which has carriages attached to it. it lifts you up in the air and goes in all directions. not a ride for queesy people as you can be upside down for quite a while.
they have a dragon ride which is great for children its a small rollercoaster which enables you to see most of the park. they also have camelots own version of the cups and saucers a classic childrens ride. there is a junior rollecoaster which takes you on a journey in a catterpillar through a giant apple which is good fun for young thrillseekers. there is also a traditional musical carousel which is great to see at theme parks.
one of my favourite rides which can be enjoyed by the whole family is the log flume which is also a classic ride however you have to be prepared to get wet unless your great at ducking like me.
there is an indoor play area which is great for children as it has ball pools and a number of slides good if you want to warm up inside for a while.
camelot does have its own hotel however personally i think its just a good place to have a day out i wouldnt stay over however its a good idea if you are travelling a long distance to get to the park.
you can take a picnic to the park as there are a number of places where you can sit down and eat at your own leisure.
however there are places where you can buy some food such as burgers, hotdogs and chips.
really fun family day out perhaps aimed more at children.
not really a big theme park however this is not always wanted
Summary: small theme park with a variety of activities to keep you occupied
