I live just about 2 Km from the worlds greatest Amusement Park and I have some advice for anyone planning to visit. Cedar Point is a great park with the best ride selection and variety of attractions on the planet. They have more than just the typical rides, they have this Old Style village with glass blowing and candlemaking. They have a nice boat ride on some steamship style boats as well as a rustic trainride. The kids will like the Berrnstein Bears village and the watershow where they have all these divers. Even the food is better in the past few years with a new restaurant called Main Street Market which is a buffet style knock off of Boston Market.
The Advice I have is for any potential visitors to look for discounted tickets. It costs about 40 dollars to get in nowadays but the Pepsi cans throughout the area have a perpetual promotion of $10 off. You should at least look for cans of pepsi when you get close to Sandusky. Also if you get on Route 250 (milan Road) the hotels will sell you discounted tickets even if you don't stay there. Their tickets are 13 dollars cheaper so you can save a good deal of money.
