Chessington World of adventures is a great place to go for a day trip for fun rides and amusements. I actually used to work at CWOA during the holiday periods when I wasn’t at Uni. So I’ve got quite a bit of experience of the park. The rides at CWOA cater for all types of people, whether you are of the faint hearted or are ...  Read the complete review

I have been to Chessington many times way back to when it was just a zoo. However, I can only say that it gets better and better each year. It is clean, the rides are great and the staff very helpful. There is not a great deal for the younger children although they do have a circus and a mini fairground place for them. Some of the ...  Read the complete review

Chessington World of Adventures is just a 20 minute drive for me. However it is more suited of children aged 10+. I find Thorpe Park better value for money if your children are younger than 10. After being recommended the Halloween night at Chessington we gave it a go last year. What a disappointment. We had been in there an hour and hadnt even ...  Read the complete review

Last saturday I went to Chessington World Of Adventures with 9 others for a mates birthday. The day wasn't particularly starting out too good, but we thought, we've made the effort to get up we may aswell go. So we did. It was peeing down with rain in the morning and most of the time we were there. All in all though it was a good ...  Read the complete review

Fed up with paying through the nose for a day at a UK theme park? A seaon ticket here is the way to go! My kids had been to Chessington before, and had raved about it, but reading the opinions on dooyoo, I was prepared not to be too impressed. I read the website, found out about the season ticket, and decided in advance that it ...  Read the complete review

Yesterday we visited Chessington World of Adventure; wow the car parks went on forever, this park must be massive, was one of my first thoughts. Even though the car park went on forever we didn’t have that far to walk to get to the main gates. We arrived at about 1pm, and it was very quick to get through the gates. We thought ...  Read the complete review

My husband has been working all summer & we decided to take the children to Chessington for one of his 2 days off. The children were excited about going (son 4 3/4 ,daughters just turned 3 & 11 months) We only live about 1 hour away so the journey was fine. I managed to get £10 tickets via their web site which saved us lots of money- ...  Read the complete review

A couple of weeks age we went to Thorpe Park and found if you bought a full price ticket you could get free admission to Chessington World of Adventure the following day. This in itself is a good deal. However that Sunday it rained and rained. This did not put us off as a little rain doesn't hurt. Chessington is not really a large ...  Read the complete review

Chessington World of Adventures is brilliant when your nine and as you get older it isn't quite so thrilling, but its still pretty good. Chessington World Of Adventures is a brilliant day out and shouldn't be missed whether you do or do not have a family. Chessington is just off the M25 and so it is really easy to get to unless (a) you happen to live in inverness, or (b) you try to get there at rush hour! Chessington is quite small compared to Alton Towers and so you can relax and not worry about having to cram everything in in one day. The worst time of year to visit ...  Read the complete review

I live fairly close to Chessington and I've been there a few times. I'm not a great Theme Park goer - so maybe I don't have all that much to compare it to , but here's what i think anyway. Chessington World of Adventures is not THAT bad. Yes there are queues (as with all theme parks), maybe it is quite smallish AND YES it ...  Read the complete review

As I live only 5 miles away from Chessington, it’s quite surprising that I’ve only been to the World of Adventures 3 times. The reason for this? Mainly because it really doesn’t have that much attraction. I’m near to Thorpe Park as well and have to say that that has even less attraction. Chessington, is ...  Read the complete review

It is much harder to get your money's worth at Chessington. The rides are pitched at older teens (Rameses Revenge and Samurai) or active juniors (Beanoland and Action Man Mission). Don't bother going at weekends, unless they have late night opening. Buy your tickets in advance (I have seen queues of 40 minutes jut to get in). The web ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review family theme park - something for everyone (462 words)
by - written on 28/06/00 (Useful, 33 readings)

Chessington is perhaps a more family suitable theme park than the nearby Thorpe park. I used to have an annual Tussauds pass and we always ended up at Chessington over and above Thorpe Park - not because I have children but because I am a bit rubbish when it comes to theme park rides!! I would much rather go on a nice sedate ride or something ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Chessington World of Adventures: Chessington... Fun but not fantastic (133 words)

We were given some tickets to Chessington world of Adventures. The children had a fun day, but compared to the other parks such as Alton Towers or Thorpe Park it was relatively small. The queues for the rides were in many cases over an hour and the ride over to quickly. The Rollercoster did have a ticket system so you could go and do other things ...  Read the complete review
