For my sons 10th we were at a loose end of what to do as he was now too big for the indoor soft play parties he had, had in the past. A friend had recently visited Diggerland in Medway and my son had seen adverts locally so we contcted them to organise a party. They supplied all the invites and a menu options list via the post. On the day of the party we all assemblied in the reception where we were allocated a party leader who sorted all the food options, we had chosed a pack lunch style lunch as it would be easier. I recently went to Diggerland in Rochester, Kent for a day out. My sister had some free tickets and this meant we only had to pay for one child which really helped. If you don't have any free tickets then I think this is much too expensive at £15 a head for over 3's. However, we had a good fun day, although the site was much smaller than I expected and there was enough to do for about 4 hours. We went in the October half term and although we had to queue for a couple of the rides, it was not ridiculous like Alton Towers and we managed to go on everything there through the course of the day. The rides ranged from static diggers where you had to use ...  Read the complete review

Diggerland is a very unique idea in the tourist industry. It all came about when one man realised how many 'ordinary' people and children desperately wanted to get their hands on mechanical diggers, and so all the activities in the park revolve around them and the ideas of digging and building. Attractions include rides, drives and static displays, along with play areas both indoors and out. As well as riding on and driving different types of construction machinery you can learn about the workings of these machines. Diggerland can be found at three sites in the UK. One in Durham, one in Devon and one in Kent. They have also recently opened a site in Dubai. As ...  Read the complete review
