Advantages: Loads of superb rides, amazing restaurants, incredible themeing, light-up, singing drinking-water fountains, American!!!

Disney/MGM Studios consists of tons of attractions based on the movies. It is amazing. One of the best attractions there is the Tower Of Terror. OK, you may have heard of this being a ride in an hotel lift which breaks down and drops you 200 feet, yes it is that and that drop is IMMENSE, but it is all the themeing, cast members, extras and attention to detail which all adds to make this ride an absolute masterpiece and epitomises Disney perfectly. even while you are queueing, it really feels like you are in a real old run-down spooky hotel. Then when you get on the ride, there is a great build-up to THAT drop. I won't spoil it but it words can't describe how brilliant it is.

Other unmissable attractions at MGM include:-

Muppets 3D - This is really about 5 dimensions, and it terrific

Backlot Tour - This is a fascinating insight into how special effects in movies are made. Prepare to be BLOWN AWAY by the astounding special effects and movie scenes you will witness. It really is EYE-CANDY!

Rock + Roller Coaster - This wasn't built when I visited but I have heard it is incredible. Rock music is actually played to you individually as you ride the 4 inversions (upside-down parts) of this amazing rollercoaster.

Restaurants - The restaurants here are too good for words. The one we visited was set as a drive-in movie theatre!!! You sat in great big 1950s AMerican convertibles whilst watching cartoons on the giant movie screen!! The waiters/waitresses brought your food to you with the usual amazing American style and charisma, ON ROLLERSKATES!
