Disney world in Orlando Florida is a brilliant holiday destination for any family with children. I visited Disney world when I was 15, but even though I thoroughly enjoyed the holiday I do think it is ideal for children a little younger than I was. And not advisable for really young children as its hard for them to deal with the very hot temperatures, especially when you are from a cold country as I am.

We didn't get to visit everywhere as we only had a few days of our 3 week holiday to spend in Florida; we visited the Epcot Park, Disney's Hollywood Studio's and the Typhoon Lagoon water park.

I don't really remember much from the Epcot park apart from going on space mountain, and the rain showers were terrible, we all had to wear the awfully bright yellow poncho's to keep us dry. Am not too sure if it's this park that has all the different villages, showing all the cultures around the world, this is an experience in itself.

The Disney Hollywood studios were amazing, the effects on all the rides etc were out of this world, this park was aimed for the older child. When I went, they had the twister simulator sort of scene, it was so realistic, it was like actually being in the movie, as was the same with the King Kong and Jaws rides.

We didn't get very long at the Typhoon Lagoon water park as it started to rain and we were all ushered out in case of a thunder and lightning storm.

The parades are brilliant, I would advise anyone who goes to Florida to stay for the night time parade, you are guaranteed to be thoroughly entertained.

Summary: excellent holiday for families with children!!
