Disneyland Resort California (Anaheim) Theme Park / Zoo International

Newest Review: ... Street *** You enter the park through Main Street USA - filled with places to eat and shops. Designed to look like the early 1900's, there are usually bands playing as well so it has a great atmosphere from the start. As I went at Christmas time it also had Christmas trees and decorations and Christmas songs so it felt very festive and jolly! *** Adventureland *** This was probably my favourite land of the park. The 'Jungle Cruise' is a great ride for families and children. A fairly tame cruise with a few surprises on the way and a 'tour guide' who builds up the experience for you. The 'Indiana Jones Adventure' was my favourite ri... more

Disneyland Resort California (Anaheim): A Magical Time with Mickey (1378 words)

*** Overview *** Disneyland - the original park - is based in the outskirts of LA in Anaheim. It is a wonderful day trip (or longer!) for both adults and children; a truly magical place where you can escape reality for a while. It is costly at around 60 dollars children for the day and 70 dollars for adults. However there are many deals to be had - especially online if you book before you go, including discounted rates for more days and if you combine this with other parks - such as Universal Studios and SeaWorld. This will also save time queuing for tickets when you get there. Although it is a bit expensive to get in (as well as the good and ...  Read the complete review

Back in 1994 I got to miss the last week and a bit of the autumn term for a very important reason – we were off to California. My uncle lives in a town near LA, and we were going to spend the next few weeks with him, “doing” all the tourist attractions over there. It was for this reason that a week or so into our stay, we found ourselves queuing up to get into Disneyland. There was only one problem - he had bought our tickets in advance. Not a problem in itself, except for the fact that these were “special” tickets for Southern Californian Natives. In an effort to blend in, I did what any theatrical pre-teenager would have done. I started ...  Read the complete review

Disneyland Resort California (Anaheim): STILL GREAT FUN!!! (131 words)

I first visited Disneyland in California in 1990, and returned recently having visited florida in between. The park itself has improved considerably since then and there is a lot of new attractions. I somehow expected to be disappointed second time round but fortunately it still lived up to my expectations. There are some excellent attractions, the whole place is magificently organised and the shows (particularly in the evening) are spectacular. Disneyland certainly matches or beats the Magic Kingdom in Florida, however that is all you get - no other parks in California. All in all, we had an excellent day, the only downside being ...  Read the complete review

I visited Disneyland on my holiday's 2 months ago and my opinion on the "Happiest place on earth" is that it was simply magical the rides were great and because there were so many rides the queues weren't that that big. I also met all the famous Disney characters and I would say to anyone who hasn't been to Disneyland don't leave it out of your visiting list if you go to America because it really is great and fun for all ages and I would love to go back tomorrow!!! ...  Read the complete review
