Disneyland Resort California (Anaheim)

Description: Disneyland Resort California.

Newest Review: ... everyone will be happy. I recommend getting there early and staying until it closes. You will experience crowds but depending on what time of year you visit they are not too bad. In January we were very lucky as we virtually walked on every ride but in the height of sumemr and school holidays expect 2 to 3 hour waits for rides. When you first enter Disneyland you walk down Main Street, ... more

Premium Review Disneyland Resort California (Anaheim): Disneyland - The Happiest Place on Earth (876 words)

The Happiest Place on Earth - and it truly is. I have experienced Disneyland both as an adult and as a child and continue to love it to this day. Disneyland Park is located in Anaheim, approximately 30 miles from Los Angeles. The complex now houses two parks, Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure but I am going to concentrate this review on just the first park. There are also lots of hotels and an area called Downtown Disney which is just outside the park which includes shops and restaurants. Don't be fooled, Disneyland is an expensive day out, especially if you take the kids but if you know this in advance then you expect it and in my ...  Read the complete review

Disneyland California the first ever Disney park I visited and also the first ever Disney Theme Park opened on July 17th 1955. Located in Anaheim, California, Disneyland California consists of 2 theme parks, Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure Park, 3 resort hotels, Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian and Disney’s Paradise Pier and Downtown Disney for all your shopping, dining and entertainment needs. *~*Tickets*~* I always would recommend purchasing your tickets before you leave the UK as you tend to get better value. You can purchase 2,3,4 and 5 day hopper tickets allowing you access to both parks starting from ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Disneyland Resort California (Anaheim): Doing Mr Disney Proud (645 words)

Back in 1994 I got to miss the last week and a bit of the autumn term for a very important reason – we were off to California. My uncle lives in a town near LA, and we were going to spend the next few weeks with him, “doing” all the tourist attractions over there. It was for this reason that a week or so into our stay, we found ourselves queuing up to get into Disneyland. There was only one problem - he had bought our tickets in advance. Not a problem in itself, except for the fact that these were “special” tickets for Southern Californian Natives. In an effort to blend in, I did what any theatrical pre-teenager would have done. I started ...  Read the complete review

STILL GREAT FUN!!! (130 words)

I first visited Disneyland in California in 1990, and returned recently having visited florida in between. The park itself has improved considerably since then and there is a lot of new attractions. I somehow expected to be disappointed second time round but fortunately it still lived up to my expectations. There are some excellent attractions, the whole place is magificently organised and the shows (particularly in the evening) are spectacular. Disneyland certainly matches or beats the Magic Kingdom in Florida, however that is all you get - no other parks in California. All in all, we had an excellent day, the only downside being ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Disneyland Resort California (Anaheim): Go back to your childhood (1420 words)

My wife and I visited this park in 1997, we had already been to the one in Orlando but wanted to compare it. We were staying in Anaheim the home of Disneyland at the castle inn , this was a good motel/hotel right across the road from Disneyland. We have actually booked to go there again in October along with Vegas. Disneyland in California was the first theme park of it's kind, it was built in 1955. People back then warned Walt Disney the owner , that it would be a failure. How wrong could they be. You will probably know it as Magic Kingdom. Nowadays millions of people all over the world travel to these parks. They are ...  Read the complete review
