Disneyland Pairs promised an enchanting day out and that’s exactly what it was.

The moment that you walk through the gate you are taken away by the park. Main street USA is the first sight that greets you with its old world charm. The whole street is lined with shops some of which can be pricey but on the whole the goods are reasonably priced.

At the end of the street is the famous Disneyland castle marking the way to the four different lands of Disney. Unfortunately on the day that we visited the castle was being painted and was covered in pink scaffolding which might of looked entertaining but wasn't really what we came to see! That is one of the only things that I would criticise the park for and that is that it closes rides occasionally and you can't tell when that will be!

My favourite land would have to be discoveryland with the famous space mountain ride. Be prepared to queue for this ride so if possible buy a fastpass, which allows you to skip some of the queues. It's definitely worth waiting for especially as all of the photos you get at the end look so ridiculous!

Frontierland was another excellent land particularly thunder mountain and the phantom manner.

Adventureland was equally as entertaining especially the Indiana Jones ride. When you have to do the whole ride again baxckwards it was a bit much for me though!
Finally the fourth land fantasyland is possibly more for children with more gentle rides such as the tea-cups however the restaurants in Fantasyland are some of the best in the park.

While we were at Disneyland we stayed in the Sequoia lodge hotel part of the park itself and one of six Disney hotels. It was a nice enough hotel but with 1500 guests it did get quite busy at mealtimes!

On the night time its worth a trip into the disney village for a great night out. The themed restaurants are really funny especially the waitors on rollarskates!

Disneyland
really was a great experience and even though it’s not got the size of the resorts in Florida and California it was still an excellent day out!
