Big Thunder Mountain is one of the most famous rides in the Disney Parks, this rollarcoaster is in Frontier Land in the Disneyland Paris Magic Kingdom park and is themed like a mining train, it goes both in doors and out doors and there is a picture taken of riders on one of the hills on the track that it follows.

This ride is avaiable for the fastpass service, for those who have appropriate tickets, this is great as it is a very popular ride in the park in at peak times you can see queues that will last 2-3 hours for it. It is regularly checked to prevent breakdowns because of this, which can make queue times even longer.

This ride isnt that scary and is good for adults and children alike, within the 40" height restrictions, there are no loops or inversions in Big Thunder Mountain and the max speed that is hit is just under 40mph, there is one semi dark tunnel in this ride though so if you dont like the dark this ride isnt for you.

Personally I am more of an adreniline junkie and find this ride a bit of a waste of time, as the queue time is so long. Granted the Paris version of the ride is much more exciting than the American version of the ride (the american one feels much slower and smoother) though if you like some thing a bit more exciting, try Space Mountain in DiscoveryLand, or the AeroSmith Rockin RollarCoaster in the MGM Studios.

Though it is nice to go on at least once as it is such a popular and famous ride, it does have its charms, though I recommend getting the fastpass on this ride, as I didnt think it was worth the wait.
