I have just returned today from Disneyland Paris and this was the first ride I got to experience yesterday morning. It was a great start to the day and was nice to get one of the more popular rides out of the way before the park got busy. Due to staying in a Disney hotel, we had access to the park 2 hours prior to the normal opening hours so there was no queue at all for Space Mountain when we got there at 8:15am. There is also a parent swap facility on this ride which with us having 2 toddlers is always a big bonus for us. The ride is designed to give the impression of a space shuttle launch and after getting in your vehicle you are driven round to the launch ... Read the complete review

The ride is officially known as Space Mountain: Mission 2 and is a space themed rollercoaster. The original space mountain ride in Paris underwent major modifications in 2005 which is why it is now renamed Mission 2. The ride is located in Discoveryland which is Disneyland Paris's version of Tomorrowland. This is the only attraction where I can honestly say that I prefer the version in Paris to the one in Orlando, Florida. Although the ride shares the same name and essentially has the same theme this is where the similarities end. The Paris version is the fastest out of the five different versions of the ride and the only version to include inversions. It was also ... Read the complete review

Space Mountain is indoor roller coaster at the Magic Kingdom. It is themes around a space station and opened on January 15, 1975. There are 5 other Space mountains around different Disney parks around the world but the one in Walt Disney World is the original version of the iconic attraction. The Coaster also is the oldest running coaster in the state of Florida. The look of the building has become an icon of the park. The outer wall is shaped as an upside down funnel and painted in pure white. The bottom of the building has a span of 300ft in diameter and houses the ride inside. The ride lasts 2.5 minutes and reaches a height of 65ft. The ride is ... Read the complete review

I have been to disneyland Paris twice now and both times Space Mountain has been my favorite ride. It was opened in 1995 and has been drawing the crowds ever since. It is fully named Space Mountain: Mission 2 as it is the second of its sort, after the one in Florida. Space mountain is situated to the right of disneyland as you go in, in Discovery Land, which is full of other attractions such as the railroad stop, an 'underwater' restaurant, and a journey to the centre of the earth exhibit. To get on the ride you have to queue up outside. This for me is the massive downside as it is freezing cold for a large part of the year and in queues (especially ... Read the complete review

At first I thought it might be strange to review a rollercoaster - why would anyone want to read about that? But then I thought about my own experiences with rollercoasters and realised that actually I have a lot to say about this particular one and so here we are. I've been to Disneyland Paris five times now and I love it. The main attraction for me is that I don't really like big, scary, upside down rides. You don't have to worry here because there are so many rides to please all, atmosphere in abundance, shows, parades and characters. Still, when you are with a group of people who do like rollercoasters, it makes you the odd one out if you ... Read the complete review

Italia in Miniatura
Something quite different to the usual theme park. A nice day out for the family.
Seems made only for Italians - lack of English on signs etc. Bit pricey.
Korkeasaari Zoo
Beautiful setting, boat ride, a chance to see animals you wouldn't usually, good facilities
Not many "events", we didn't see many of the animals
