Star Tours is a simulator ride located in 4 Disney theme parks around the world. The ride is based on the successful Star Wars franchise and was created by George Lucas, making it the first of the park's attractions that did not use Disney engineers. None of us have ever actually seen Star Wars but I recognised the robots from my brothers toys when I was younger! This is a fastpass ride so always worth having a look at the waiting time and then seeing what the fastpass time is. There is not much to do in Discoveryland that you can fit in if the fastpass time is not that long away. All the rides seemed to be busy. The actual ride is like a super motion simulator! Well the ride is identical from what I remember and the queing system was too and the main difference had to be the language, afterall I am in Paris so the mixture of English and French Phrases were being bounced about in the queue. If you like star wars, you will like this ride. As you enter, there is r2d2 sitting in a fighter, c3po on a raised platform, and as you climb the ramps, a mechanic droid is repairing an R3. The waiting area is a great design of a space flight boarding station, and the queue is divided into seperate lines. If you like to be at the front, hope you get in line 1. TV screens above the doors inform you how long before boarding, and have web-cam images of the dock. In the simulator a screen rises and there is the pilot droid. The adventure begins by dropping into a maintenance shaft, and missing the stop then joining in a battle. My favourite part is the simulated jump into ... Read the complete review
