Advantages: Space mountain: mission 2

Disadvantages: Autopia - for the adults

Discoveryland. is very French! This land has been inspires by the writings of Jules Verne. You will see this once you see the walk through model of Nautilus (from 20,000 leagues under the sea). The main attraction here is Space Mountain: Mission 2 a white knuckle coaster that is under cover and sends you propelling to the star in pitch black!
There is also Autopia where you sit in cars and get electronically driven around a track. The kids love this one but for us grown ups it really is boring and you find yourself counting the time until you can get off. There is also a new Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast attraction which is great fun as you are made to feel you have been shrunk to miniscule proportions. I would recommend a visit to Star Traders gift shop you can get the kids some light sabres and loads of other action toys. Discoveryland on the whole is enjoyable but certainly not the best area of the park, once you have Space Mountain out of the way the rest can seem quite dull in comparison. You will probably only spend a couple of hours here (not including queuing though!)

Summary: Not one of the best areas of the park.
