Advantages: Free
Disadvantages: Everything is pricey inside
The Disney Village in the Paris Disneyland Resort is a great place to go for a nice relaxing meal, check out the Disney shops that are full of great merchandise or even take a hot air ballon ride that will allow you to oversee the whole Disney resort.
Disneyland Village has 4 bars and 10 different themed restaurants, so there is almost something to fit everyones tastes, there is also a massive McDonalds, so if you cant afford the higher priced meals you can go there and get something quick to eat.
The restuarants in Disney Village include, The Rainforest Cafe, it is a brilliant restuarant where you sit in a rainforest, near monkeys and elephants (all mechanical) and watch the rainforest come to life, there is a great atmosphere in this restaurant though it can be very expensive, if you were watching your money you could probably get a meal and drink for around 20-30 euros, though I suggest you try the cocktails that come with flashing glasses, as the ice tea one is really nice.
Planet Hollywood is also situated in the Disney Village, I find this restaurant to be slightly cheaper than The Rainforest Cafe, costing around 20 euros per head, it is also a great themed resutaurant where you sit amoung star memorabilia, like the jokers suit from batman (jim carrey's) its got great varied yet american style food in it like pasta, burgers and salads, theres generally something for everyone.
I personally have not ate in the other restuarants though there are 8 others that vary for different tastes and budgets, they include Annettes Diner, Mc Donalds, Cafe Mickey, King Ludwigs Castle, New York Sandwiches, La Grange, Billy Bobs Western Style Saloon and the Steak House, between them all your bound to find something that you would like to eat, and they all seem to have great standards and service.
There a wild west themed dinner show, called Buffalo Bills Wild West show, in this show you get a dinner buffet style wild western dinner, with a vegetarian option too, then you watch and take part in a great show starring the Annie Oakley, The Rough Riders, Buffalo Bill ofcourse and Sitting Bull, the disney characters also be in the stadium and it is a great chance for children to meet and greet them. I personally didnt really enjoy the food in this show, however the show itself was very good, the smell of the animals kind of put me off my food, however I can be quite a fussy eater so this may just have been me.
There is also a cinema and an IMAX 3d cinema, though I am not sure if the cinemas only play french films, so I never have been to either.
The hurricane nightclub which is a great place to party, though staff seem to outnumber guests, also The Sports Bar to enjoy which has different sports coverage playing during opening hours on a big tv the choice to sit in or outside, nice decently (compared to everywhere else) priced drinks and a great atmosphere.
There is a great chance to go on a disney hot air ballon, (which is always attached to the ground so it doesnt float away too far) and if you dont mind heights you can get a view of the whole Disney Park from it, I am not exactly sure of price though I think it cost us around 10 euros each for
around 15 mins ride, it was well worth it though as the view was amazing.
There are also lots of shops selling loads of Disney tokens to bring home for yourself or as presents, the shops can be quite expensive though the merchandise is great quality, as is the whole Disney experience, if you cant be bothered treking into the park for the presents you want, youll most likely be able to find it in the Disney Village shops, which can save you a lot of time.
Overall Disney Village is a great place to visit on your holiday, admission is free so even if its not your cup of tea its worth a look. Its just a 5 minute walk from the park and if you are walking from your hotels to the park youll probably pass through it anyway.
Summary: An amazing addition to the disney holiday
