Advantages: The area is very close to the hotels and main parks
Disadvantages: Needs more to do
Disney Village is a shopping, dining and entertainment district in Disneyland Resort Paris, France. The area was originally named Festival Disney and opened in April 1992.
The area is based on Walt Disney World's Downtown Disney and it located adjacent to the two theme parks of Disneyland Resort Paris and its Lake Disney hotel area. The district has a canopy over the top and the buildings are design is very funky. The area is the best at night when the street and shops are lit up. During Christmas roasted chestnuts and hot chocolate is served down the street.
The area has a Gaumont Cinemas & IMAX, Hurricanes Discotheque, NEX Fun Bowling & Games and PanoraMagique Balloon. This is a ride opened in April 2005. PanoraMagique is the largest captive balloon in the World, and carries up to 30 passengers 100 metres into the sky.
Restaurants include:
Annette's Diner (Table Service Restaurant)
Ben & Jerry's Kiosque De Glaces (Ice Cream Kiosk)
Billy Bob's Country Western Saloon (Table Service Restaurant & Snack)
Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show (Show & Table Service Restaurant)
Café Mickey (Table Service Restaurant)
King Ludwig's Castle (Table Service Restaurant)
La Grange (Buffeteria)
McDonald's (Counter Service)
New York Style Sandwiches (Counter Service)
Planet Hollywood (Table Service Restaurant)
Rainforest Cafe (Table Service Restaurant)
I would recommend Cafe Disney, Planet Hollywood or the Rainforest Café. All of these you will need to pre book as they get busy. The area also has many shops selling Disney merchandise as well as other goods.
The area is good but it needs more to do. Once you have done an hour here you are finished, unless you com in Christmas where they have more to do. The best thing about this are is that it is free.
Summary: A good area to visit
