Advantages: Great rides and well themed

Disadvantages: popular rides so big queues can build up.

Frontierland is one of the many themed lands in the Disneyland park in Paris. The theming of this land is based on the American Wild West in the 1800's, Frontierlands are historically home to Cowboys, Saloons and of course the infamous Gold Rushes.

If you have visted other Disney Parks around the globe you'll notice that in Disneyland Paris Frontierland is located in the area where you would usually find adventureland. This is the largest Frontierland out of all the Disney Parks, the background story is that the town of Thunder Mesa was founded to support the mining of Big Thunder Mountain.
Every Halloween this land is converted to Halloween land! Where they have lots of scary characters hiding around every corner and lots of pumpkins and other decorations spread over the land.

There are several main attractions in this land -
Big Thunder Mountain - this is your typical runaway mine train type ride. Excellently themed and a very enjoyable ride although the queue can get very long! There is a separate review for this ride.

Thunder Mesa Riverboats - This is a relaxing riverboat ride around the rivers in Frontierland. There are 2 riverboats - the molly brown and the mark twain. From memory I think this takes about 20 minutes and there are no seats on the boat! I would enjoy this a lot more if I could sit down!

Phantom Manor - This is a typical haunted house ride. There is quite a good preshow to the ride where you are waiting in a room that stretches! You then board the rides "doom buggies" to travel through the house that has 999 happy haunts - and your "ghost host" tells you that there is room for one more. This is a good ride but may frighten some children as there is a lot of dark parts and loud noises.

There is also a train stop for the steam train that travels all the way around the park so you can get on/off the train in this land.
There are several different places to eat in the land - a cowboy BBQ restaurant, a Saloon and a steakhouse. There is also a wide variety of shops selling wild west themed disney merchandise! Although I found these shops can be pretty expensive!
Frontierland is one of my favourite lands in Disneyland. It is so well themed and has a great vibe to it. The rides are quite good and any young kids will love the wild west theme!

Summary: Kids will love it
