Advantages: Fun ride, good atmosphere.

Disadvantages: Get a bit bashed about!

Indiana Jones et le temple du peril, which I am guessing in my very poor French translates to roughly Indiana Jones and the Temple of doom in English, is a ride in Adventure Land in DisneyLand Paris.

The ride is essentially a rollercoaster set in Indiana Jones teratory. As with most rides you have to quue outside and the queues are set up to be quite deceiving so you are never sure how long you are going to have to queue for. The queueing mostly takes place amongst a rocky setting which appears to be set in a very old fashioned temple with walls made out of sand stone. There are very impressive real fire lanterns lit outside to add to the excitment and atmosphere of the ride. To queue you go up and down steps which gives the impression of walking over rocky contryside to reach the final destination.

For the ride itself you are fixed into carriages of two with high backs and satisfyingly tight chest restraints. The ride is mainly a rollercoaster, its a fast ride with big dips, dramatic stops and even a loop the loop. It reminds me a little bit of a runaway train. To be honest I came out a bit achy both times I went on it as I was thrown around quite a lot.

One of the great things about this ride is that it was eligible for the fast pass. This is where you can go up to the ride (well, a section next to the ride) pop your ticket in and it prints out a time that you can come back. If you come back within that time window (20 minutes) you get to go on the ride with minimal queueing. This is fantastic if it fits into your schedule, but not so great if that time happens to be when you are stuck in the queue for another ride!

Summary: Good fun, not for the faint hearted.

If I remember correctly is it a backward loop the loop? I know my head hurt when I got off this one.
