Advantages: Lots of shops

Main Street U.S.A is the first land you arrive in as you come through the turnstiles, it stretches out before you towards Sleeping Beauty's castle at the centre of the park. Disney refer to this as a land but it is more of an enlarged gift shop. The only constant real attraction here is the Railroad station. You do get cars and other vehicles driving up and down now and then with the characters in, and most of the parades will pass through here. The shops and restaurants are accessed by arcades either side of the street (Discovery and Liberty Arcades) these arcades are good to take shelter in in bad weather.
As it is Disney the restaurants are all over priced, but the best one I found in this area was the Plaza Gardens Restaurant it is situated just at the end of main street to the left. There are tables outside under big umbrellas. They do a really nice salad and it is not hat expensive (for Disney I mean!) Out of the two Ice Cream Parlours on Main Street Gibson Girl is by far the best, it has a wide variety of flavours and you can get mega cones for the whole family to share. There are loads of gift shops here where you can buy everything from clothes to fine china to toys, so you are bound to find a souvenir for everyone. Although it doesn't have a lot of rides makes sure you take the time to look around Main Street and get some lovely gifts to take home
