DisneyQuest is an "indoor interactive theme park" located in Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World Resort. The attraction opened in June 1998 and is housed in a five-story, windowless building. DisneyQuest contains several virtual reality attractions, classic and recent arcade video games.
The concept was ment to be something that would take on in citys around the world. Disney opened another "indoor interactive theme park" but this was closed due to slow attendace. But the one in Disney World is still going strong.
Guests enter the first-floor lobby and are brought via elevator to the third floor atrium as the start of their visit. The elevator has a screen where Guinea from the film Aladdin greets you. Aladdin is also the official mascot of DisneyQuest. When you enter the 3rd floor you can go to one of many different areas with SOOOOO many different games.
My favorout area is the sports area. This houses all the sports games you could want. New and old.
DisneyQuest also features two quick service restaurants. On the fourth floor, the Wonderland Cafe and on the fifth floor, food is served at two stations: Food Quest and Pizza Pasta Panini.
The good thing about this attraction is you pay a one off entrance fee of $34 and from then on the game inside are free and unlimited. If you are only going once it's properly not the best deal but if you have a park hopper or annual pass this is great.

To be totally honest it was one of those places that i wasnt really bothered about going too - thinking i didnt come to Orlando to play on video games. We ended up going there one day when the weather was a bit miserable - it was free to get in as it was part of our hopper pass ticket.
Disney Quest is 5 floors, and is packed with state of the art , with cutting-edge technology, virtual reality and 3-D experiences. The main entrance way "venture port" leads off to four different zones: the Explore Zone, the Score Zone, the Create Zone and the Replay Zone.
Explore Zone - this is a virtual wonderland where you can explore exotic lands.
Score Zone - this is where you can test your game playing skills
Create Zone - for the artists in the family- you can create your own work of art.
Replay Zone - for the older generation a nostalgic collection of old games such as Pac Man and asteroids.
On the top floor you will also find food quest which serves pizzas, burgers, hotdogs and the best desserts in downtown disney! There is also a section when you can surf the internet and catch up with emails for free.
Even if there isnt a rainy day disney quest is worth a visit even if it is only for an hour or so. I personally wouldnt want to spend too long there but kids will love it!
Disney Quest is a unique interactive gaming environment in Downtown Disney in Florida. It is very different from the other attractions offered by Disney but is a MUST if you have compter game addicted family members!
Disney quest is spread out over five floors and once, inside it is all free. Getting into Disney Quest is an experience in itself - the lift which takes you up to the first floor has an fantastic video of the Genie from Aladdin and the effects make it feel as if you are going super fast!
Once inside it is a virtual smorgasbord of video games. If you can think of a game then it is probably here! However if video gaming is not your thing there is a floor which contains computers on which you can have internet access or just sit and have a coffee - the cakes are divine!!
Disney Quest is always busiet when it is raining - and as it is situated just across the road from the Typhoon Lagoon water park we found that people who had planned to go to Typhoon Lagoon came here instead if it was raining!
If you have an ultimate ticket then the cost of the entrance is included and it is safe to let your children wander around whilst you take some time to chill out over a coffee.
Welcome to Disney's Theme park of the future. The highly interactive & entertaining DisneyQuest.
The indoor park has five floors all with various attractions. All the video games, rides & attractions in the park are free & included in the entrance fee.
First I'll start with the arcade games. There are hundreds of them. They all cost nothing & you can always find one unoccupied.
There are five main draw attractions:
These are PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN - BATTLE FOR THE BUCCANEER GOLD, This is an attraction for up to 6 people. You step inside a simulator surrounded on all sides by screens. You then shoots cannons at boats that appear on the screen destroying them & protecting your own vessel. This one is lots of fun & great for families.
VIRTUAL JUNGLE CRUISE takes place on a raft which inflates to make you feel & give you the sensation of actually riding a raft. You are in front of a screen which shows a Jungle Cruise. You paddle your way along the river. This is quite fun & you even get sprayed with the odd bit of water. It can take 4 people but they will let one ride. I tried it alone. It was very comical.
CYBERSPACE MOUNTAIN is a virtual rollercoaster. This is great for the Thrill Seekers. You design your own rollercoaster. Then once completed you step onto a simulator to ride it. Good Eh? Believe it. I really enjoyed this although I get travel sick so couldn't manage more than one ride. You can also buy the footage of you riding on DVD. Good Souvenir.
BUZZ LIGHTYEAR'S ASTROBLASTERS is High tec dodgems. Two people ride each dodgem. One is the driver. The other is the Gunner. Gunner i hear you say. There are cannon balls scattered around the floor. Driving over one catches it in your dodgem. You can the load it into the cannon & fire it at the other dodgems. If you hit the target on one, they even spin round. As will you. Great fun.
ANIMATION ACADEMY is where you get a class in learning how to draw Disney characters. Each class teaches a different Disney character. I didn't do this but it did look fun.
If you are in Disney World & get a 14 day ticket, you can go in here for free as often as you like. Well worth a look & great fun. Although $40 entrance fee if not is quite expensive. Especially if you've been in already.
Enter into the virtual world of disney!
