Disney's California AdventureNewest Review: ... to get soaked on these twirling round rafts that imitate a white-water experience. That's wonderful in the summer but when the temperatures are less than tropic, you could catch a chill on this one. There's also a climbing area called the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail - similar to the original Disneyland's Chip & Dale's Island (which, if I recall correctly, was originally called Tom ... more |

Well, I'm about to go to Euro-Disney with my daughter so I thought it might be fun to tell you all about how I played "child for a day" at Disney's California Adventure at Disneyland in California (where else?). How can one tell someone about visiting Disneyland? I mean, hasn't it all been said already? Certainly there are more reviews out there on this place than there are visitors (well, probably not, but still…)? And yet, isn't it just irresistible - both as a place to go as well as a place to write about? Well, I found it to be that way, and I hope that all of you don't resist your urge to read this review. Walt Disney opened the ... Read the complete review

California Adventure is Disneys newest theme park located where Disneylands parking lot used to be. I don't know if it is because of new mangegment or what, but Disney has not made the best choices lately. California Adventure offers too few attractions for the absurd price of 45 U.S dollars. There are only 3 major rides, and some smaller rides, and a few shows. None of the rides break any new ground, and any thing done in California Adventure has been done better at Knotts Berry Farm or Disneyland. It also closes early, 6:00 on weeknights, and 8:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. The atmosphere fells too artificial, and I feel like I am in a resort more than an amusment ... Read the complete review

After visiting Disneyland at Anaheim, California and Disneyworld Orlando a few times now, I thought I would give them a miss and visit the newest of all, California Adventure. It's situated right next door to Disneyland in California, and seeing as we were staying right across the road from there, we thought we might as well pay a visit. On entering under the sign for Disney, you go down a long road until you reach the ticket booths of Disneyland and California A. There are seperate entrances to each of the parks, you probably can buy a joint ticket for both, but we didn't take any notice as we only wanted to visit the new park. We paid ... Disney's newest theme park in California is the aptly named California Adventure. It is located directly across from Disneyland itself (in what used to be the old parking lot!) and it is a wonderful and unique experience. This park is different to all the other Disney parks, even in the architecture and theming. While it still looks very "Disney" it has to truly represent the state it is portraying so it has a quirky look to it. So the traditional Disney themes are all there, but so are some uniquely californian themes such as Spanish style haciendas, beach atmosphere, the farmland, the state parks and even the look of Hollywood. This park is split ... Read the complete review
