Drayton Manor is a theme park situated in Staffordshire, just north of Birmingham. It is close to Junction 9 of the M42 on the A4091 and Exit T2 of the M6 Toll. The address is: Drayton Manor Park, Nr. Tamworth, Staffordshire, B78 3TW. The park is split into three sections - the main theme park, with more adult-type rollercoaster rides, the zoo and Thomas Land. We went mainly for Thomas Land, as we have a two year old daughter, who is mad about Thomas and his friends. Thomas Land is quite new and is specifically aimed at young children, so most of the rides are suitable for them, with an accompanying adult. I went with my husband, daughter ... The bonus about this place is that it has 3 attractions, it's a theme park with adult rides, has something for the kid's with Thomas land and a mini zoo rolled into one, I guess really this place will suit families more than the thrill seekers out there. One of the really great things about the park for me was that there wasn't the endless queuing that there usually in these sort of places. It's a bit on the expensive side, however if you search the internet you'll definitely find some offers for cheaper admission. Adult Ticket usually £25.00, Child £21.00 & Under 4's go free. Thomas Land is great and the nephew absolutely loved it, endless ... Read the complete review

Mr Lools and I decided to visit Drayton Manor a month ago with another two friends on a planned weekend break to the Midlands. Alton Towers usually would have been the first choice theme park but every member of the group had been here at least five times and fancied trying somewhere else. In addition the thought of standing in queues for two hours for the larger rides at Alton Towers was not at all appealing so we took the advice of a work colleague of mine and gave Drayton Manor a try. My review is based on the experience of a group of four big kids, aged between 21 - 27. This year Drayton Manor is open from 21st March 2009- 1st Nov ... Read the complete review

Drayton manor is a theme park that i believe is tryin (and failing) to keep in contact with Alton towers, when i last went to drayton manor i found some plus`s and some minus`s. The pros are that there a number of rides that you can enjoy and some are top, there is also hardley any waiting time compared to Alton towers and i also believe that this park is better for Teenages. The negative things about drayton manor was that even though it is a bit cheaper then Alton towers you can not get any vouchers meaning it will cost a lot more for two people to go, on top of these even though it has a number of good rides it does not have any where near the number that alrton ... What is it? Drayton maor is a theme park with lots of different rides, and also features a zoo! Some of the "big rides there include: Storm force (A big ride involving "rescue rafts" zooming around a splashing into huge puddles, you will get very wet on this ride, although they sell disposable poncos for around £1.50 if you don't want to get wet) G force (One of my favourites, traditional style roller coaster, with a loop the loo, and lots of twists and turns, as the name implies, the high speeds and quick turns causes high levels of G forces) shock wave (bit of a disappointment for me. The quickest ride, and ... Read the complete review
